Description: Solar Cookers International market their CooKit product, which retails at US$25.00. It is cardboard with foil on one side, and folds flat to 13" x 13" x 2". Biggest problem: cardboard has short life span and even shorter when it gets wet. Design goal: foil-side plastic substrate or metalized fabric constructed in the "pop-up" style, just fabric and wire. The cooker "greenhouse" is currently an oven roasting bag which lasts around 2 months in the field. Also considering a cheap, clear dome to drop over the black cooking pot. Re-purposed materials are possible.

Thefuntheory.com was/is an initiative of Volkswagen "... dedicated to the thought that something as simple as fun is the easiest way to change people’s behaviour for the better."
